I can relate to this like no other! I have honesty lost count of the times I have been called out for quote unquote talking white mostly by black people & other races as well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with speaking fluently & being unerring with the way I interact with people on a day to day basis. As a educated black woman I dont converse with people the way I do to live up to being equal to a white person! I speak the way I do because I refuse to sound illiterate and refuse dumb myself down to feel more black! Im very comfortable in my own skin and very comfortable with the way I speak. Brown skin and all!
