I can remember David Dewhurst getting boooood at the Republican Party of Texas 2012 State Convention. The ONLY person to get more booooos than Dewhurst was Governor Mitt Romney and this was AFTER he had won Texas in RECORD breaking numbers (more than both Bushs) and he had secured the nomination nationally. In fact it got so bad, the leadership must have sent out a memo to make sure Mitts name was never mentioned again for the remaining two days. Even Paul Ryan, our final speaker, never once could cheer, rally or mention Romney in his speech. We held our signs waiting...no, never, nothing. Were we really at a GOP Convention?
