I can remember the day we moved into this house. It was in - TopicsExpress

I can remember the day we moved into this house. It was in October, I was 7 months pregnant so we moved a little at a time. Rocky wasnt completely out yet but he gave us a room that we could start putting things in. Then came the big day, we had several friends and some family that helped John move the big stuff. I remember the big old barn that we finished cleaning out so we could put somethings in it and eventually used as a garage until it no longer was useful and a new building would need to go up. We did some painting in the house not much though a young couple with 2 kids and one on the way we didnt have much but we were venturing into the home owner phase. Well over the years we havent been able to do much, but I think the kids always understood. They had a place with a big yard, big porch and we didnt care you came over. Looking back and seeing things that still need done I know that I have the place that God led us too. We have a great neighborhood, where I know if we ever needed anything I could go to any of them and they would help. You see it isnt that important that we have the big fancy house or a brand new car in the driveway. It doesnt matter how much money you have in the bank or even if have a top notch job. None of it is important if you dont love those around you, if you dont enjoy life or even if you dont know who God is. He tells us that the meek shall inherit the world, that the poor shall become rich. You see being happy and knowing that you have exactly what God has planned for you should be all you need or want. Remember that money cant buy you happiness, the fancy car breaks down just like the others, if you have lots of money you probably spend lots of money and those fancy jobs, well you never know when they will be gone, but the love of God is here now, as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow. And if you have family and friends that love you then you have more than some. Take a moment today to remember and reflect on all that you have, Im sure most of you have worked hard like we did to get it, but if it were all gone, if you had nothing would your life fall apart or would you have great friends and a wonderful family to help you along the way.And would you know and understand just how much God loves you and all that he did for you? I know I do!
