I can say with all honesty & sincerity that my experience at McLeod hospital today,was bar none, the best ever. I have never ever met people that took such good care of you, even if you are only there for an out patient procedure. I also met a nurse today (LPN) that knew how to do an IV, and do it proficiently and do it carefully. She even managed (with no pain to me) getting a line in, when no other nurse or hospital has been successful.(People need to take lessons from this woman)... Cudos to this lovely woman, and to the staff that took impeccable care of me today. There was no dilly dallying around,they knew what they needed to do,and they did it with compassion. Findings of my EGD scope, I have a hiatis hernia. ( There are 2 types, I have the one less serious, thank heavens) Which is the culprit on my difficulty in swallowing. So a script was ordered, and he is hopeful this will help. My colonoscopy, unfortuneately did not turn out as well as he had hoped (me to) as the prep did not work to his satisfaction. Which is a bummer, as he could not go where he wanted to go. He did biopsies, and I will get results when I confirm my follow up when I call next week. Am I glad my prior GI retired...oh yea I am,.... cause it would have led me down to probably another poor experience in his clinic. At least this time, I was in good care, and everyone, took their time with me today. And most impotantly,I want to say how much I love my husband,there are no words Brian French, to tell you how much I adore you,and how much I love you. I am a bit sore tonight,but I can honestly say,I felt WAY better than my last post scope I had with my prior GI. I actually had some ice cream on my way home, and sat in front seat on the way home...versus laying in the back seat upchucking my guts out. Thank you all, I just need to heal & get well, and get our lives back in track.
