I can thankfully say that I got to see you play in a game during your last season. It really didnt dawn on me till a few years ago just how much I really liked Derek Jeter. Actually, I know exactly when it dawned on me, and it was when you were slated to get your 3,000th hit. I went to BWW by myself to catch the game, but it was rained out. The next game was going to be on Saturday against Tampa Bay. I was supposed to be on the way to a party my family put together for me and my soon to be wife. Needless to say, I sat behind my computer watching the game being streamed online and watched you hit a homerun for your 3,000th hit. I was a little late to the party, but I think the family understood. I think it is safe to say that you are a very respected person on and off the field and I hope that you stay the same during retirement.
