I cannot believe what I have just read! Forget Madonsela’s - TopicsExpress

I cannot believe what I have just read! Forget Madonsela’s Nkandla report. Forget about the chaos at Bekkersdal and the Cape Town rampage. You, Mr Mkhize, have uncovered a true scandal! A whopper! Some schoolboys made some t-shirts that said mean things about the ANC! Yup. This is it, Senzo; the end of the dream. There were, from what I can gather, 3 shirts, all of which were exhibited at the Westville Village market. They were part of display of artwork by some boys at Westville Boys’ High. One of them showed our redoubtable President as the Baker’s man (relabelled as the Faker’s man), one showed Nelson Mandela as Colonel Sanders of KFC fame, with his fingers crossed as if telling a lie, and one showed Zuma, Bheki Cele, and Julius Malema on the shirts of three boys in the “Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” pose. Your response, Senzo, bordered on being hysterical. “WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS DESPICABLE DEED, WHICH BORDERS ON RACISM, HAVE A PERSONAL VENDETTA AGAINST THE ANC AND ARE NOW USING INNOCENT PUPILS TO FURTHER THEIR NARROW VENOMOUS INTERESTS!” (I must confess that I capitalised your statement myself. It just felt right in light of the seriousness of this issue) Venomous? Settle down, Senzo. We’re talking about schoolboys and t-shirts, not suicide bombers. Take a deep breath, count to ten, and gently let it out again. While you quietly regain some sense of perspective, forgive me if I take advantage of the situation and remind you of one or two things that you seem to have forgotten. m.news24/news24/MyNews24/An-open-letter-to-Senzo-Mkhize-20131106
