I cannot cry for Palestine! The world never cried or protested, - TopicsExpress

I cannot cry for Palestine! The world never cried or protested, neither UN carried out referendums nor any country in the Arab world including Palestine extended support when over 50,000 Pakistanis were mercilessly killed by Taliban and still continue to live under the shadow of fear. And by Pakistanis I mean every citizen of this country, not only Muslims and Punjabis. - Terrorism in Pakistan has resulted in at least 460 fatalities, including 241 civilians, 86 Security Force (SF) personnel and 133 militants in just the first month of 2014, according to partial data compiled by the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP). At least 5,379 terrorism-related fatalities were recorded across Pakistan in 2013, as compared to 6,211 fatalities in 2012. - In 2013 nearly 700 Shia were killed and more than 1,000 were injured in more than 200 sectarian terrorist attacks. 30,000 Hazara shias left their homes in Baluchistan - According to Baloch missing persons database, over 1400 Baloch young and old men have been missing or killed. Their bodies dumped after killing them. - Killing Ahmedis is our favourite pass-time. In May 2010 attack, almost 100 killed and 120 injured. These are official figures and we know how accurate they always are! - Forced conversion and killings of Hindus and Christians. Dont have reliable figures, but I am sure they are not a handful. - Women are main casualties of violence; be it war, discriminatory laws and patriarch structure of society, she is vulnerable in every way. According to a report in Dawn newspaper, 5,151 women have been subjected to violence in 2013 in Punjab alone — among them 774 murdered, 217 killed for ‘honour’, 1,569 abducted, 706 raped/gang-raped and 427 driven to suicide. Therefore, I experience rage, heartbreak, shock, sense of despair and depression everyday when I read or watch news, when I walked with the displaced children and women of North Waziristan, when I see my Shia friends fearing for their lives and non-Muslim friends being hesitant and careful about their speech lest it would land them in hot waters. Most of all when a common Pakistani knows while leaving home in morning that he/she may become victim of a suicide blast. Being a human I do feel the pain of Palestinians, but it cannot be as intense as I feel for the loss of a Pakistani life. Does that make me inhuman? This only makes me honest. Unlike those who have never shown grief over killings of their own on hands of Muslim Talibans, but these days are going crazy on Facebook protesting Gaza killings by Israeli Jews. I cannot be a hypocrite and call for ban on use of American products when our country is practically run on U.S and IMF aid. Besides, the companies whose products we want to ban are producing jobs in Pakistan and helping generate revenue for the country. Shut down McDonalds (which, by the way are franchises and only a limited amount goes to the main office in the USA), Coca-Cola or any other company and see how many jobs you lose and what setback the economy suffers. In fact, all those proposing ban on their products on Facebook, should first of all boycott Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook which is your medium of communication, is the most powerful Jew. Kindly save me the hypocrisy on my timeline. I wouldnt mind if you guys put me on restriction or delete me from your friend list because to me your level of hypocrisy is extremely nauseating and I have had enough of it.
