I cannot describe the swing in emotions and the absolute tension that I felt last night as I watched my son take the pitching mound in a close game with our entire season hanging in the balance.The last inning he struck out the side. 3 walks and 2 fielding errors on ground balls cut into our lead. He had runners on 2nd and 3rd in a 1 run game and threw a hard fastball down the middle to strike out the last batter and win the game. He struck out 2 of the last 3 batters. That is incredibly hard to do after having no fielding action most of the game and switching positions 3 times...It is awesome to hear his teammates cheering him on and be the proud parent of the hero.
