I cannot emphasize enough for young ladies to watch their back when in public. Sitting here at a café in town and a man who is clearly belligerent literally targeted my (former) students who were simply studying. He invites himself to sit down and help with their HW. Being the kind students they are, they just kept doing their thing, but he wouldnt stop until the mama bear/teacher in me had enough and I asked him to kindly leave them alone. He asked if I was their mentor, odd choice of word, and I told them no, I was their teacher and that Im sure they didnt appreciate him distracting them (hello, it IS final time and as a teacher i know study time is crunch time). Im just glad it ended the way it did and he knew I meant business. The second he stepped outside the security got him where the police proceeded to arrest him after he tried to hit on a table of other young girls in a restaurant nearby being more volatile. Dont invite it, dont engage, lookout for each other.
