I cannot express my gratitude to our amazing community! Thank you to everyone who donated food, money & time. We seriously couldnt be doing this without you! You made it possible to feed about 120 hungry people this week! We were all really worried about distribution due to Whoville & S.L.E.E.P.S being evicted from their camps on April 1, but we were able to feed 50 of the Whos thanks to Sabra Marcroft connecting us with the Egan Center! Success! This week we received a huge donation of wet dog food, which is ALWAYS in high demand. Thank you so much to Rachel Ann Shepherd for hosting a dog food drive. YOU ARE AMAZING! It feels really great to see our new friends smiling faces when we are handing them hot food and water. We are all human, we all deserve to eat and we should take care of each other when we can. Tonight is the Voices of the Homeless: A Town Meeting. Please come and get to know our unhoused community and their stories. State, county, and city elected officials present will be invited to comment on what they have heard following questions to the panelists by members of the public.
