I cannot sleep. My body is in so much pain there is no way to lie - TopicsExpress

I cannot sleep. My body is in so much pain there is no way to lie in bed and not hurt. Both of my hips hurt...it started the day Kathy had her first back surgery. My feet hurt so bad its hard to walk. Both of my Little Mamas feet and her legs up to her knees are swollen beyond recognition. Mine have been hurting since hers began to swell. I take Tylenol but it doesnt help. I cant take anything with aspirin because it hurts my stomach. I was up in the family room writing until 4:00 a.m. this morning, hurting too much to sleep. I slept about 4 hours then got back up, have already had a short nap and woke up with my hips hurting. I do not need suggestions that will alleviate my pain. I know why I hurt. When my daughter heals and my Little Mama is no longer of this world, my suffering in this way will also end. I am an empath and those two women are of my blood. I do not have the skills to block that empathy. It is what it is. Posting the last of the Christmas Day pictures taken at my house. Remembering the fun time. My sweet DIL, Kristie Cheek Sala, had this brilliant idea which turned into the best time EVER (so said my 6 granddaughters). She and my son have 3 girls. My niece Crissy Hopkins and her husband, Andy, have three girls. So Kristie bought 3 gingerbread house kits. You know, the kind that come ready to assemble with all the decorations, icing, etc... and they divided up the girls. One girl from each family teamed up with another girl from the other family. (3 teams of two) and they each got a gingerbread house to assemble. After they were done, me, my son and DIL were the judges as to who did the best job and there was money involved for the winners. OH MY WORD... the race was on. Im posting pictures of the decorating table and the girls hard at work, and Im posting pictures of the final products. I have to state now that the losers, especially my middle granddaughter Logan, did not take losing well. (she is so kin to her father who, as a child, refused to play if he couldnt win). LOL At any rate, the girls bonded in a way that might never have happened, considering the lack of time they ever spend together and their varying ages. Before they all parted company later they had spoken up to keep the same teams and do it again next year. Logan has coined it THE GINGERBREAD WARS. It was a wonderful time thanks to Kristie Ann. I told her when they left that she made the day a hit for those 6 girls. She was grinning. She also bailed me out on the baking for Christmas dinner. She made all the pies and brought the big cheese ball that everyone always wants. Everyone knew Kathy was out of pocket when it came to cooking or helping and they came across big time, even though they had to transport so much cooked food an hour and a half to get to my house. Its never about the things that were given. Its about the people who bring them.
