I cant believe it has been 14 years since I gave birth to my younger son, Dason Chayz Hicks!! I remember it like it was yesterday. I was only 33 weeks pregnant and I craved Dr. Pepper like nobodys business. I had my bottle of Dr. pepper on the table, went to use the bathroom, and when I got back to the couch, I took a huge drink of it only to discover that David Russell had used it as a spittoon. Needless to say, I got sooooo sick! I started having contractions, and for the next 36 hours, the dr try to delay the birth until I was further along. Dason wasnt listening though (nothing has changed there LOL) and he was born weighing 4lbs 12oz and 18in long. He looked like a hairy, wrinkly old man with big lips and beautiful blue eyes. He was so tiny! After he was born, he was flown to OKC the next day because he couldnt hold his body temp and had no sucking reflex. He was a fighter though and came home about 3 weeks later. He has been fighting ever since. Today, Dason is the one of the sweetest, respectful, and handsome young men I know, and I am so blessed and proud to be his mom!! I love you, Dason, and I hope you have a great day and year! (He wants to get a motorcycle permit so bad, but the committee is still out on that decision.. Mom cant get passed the headlines in her head. Lol)
