I cant believe it is August 4th already!! After being sick and out of commission for the entire month of July I have decided that even though I may not be 100% yet, we will make the best of what is left of summer. I also want to thank EVERYONE that helped me get through the month of July. Thank goodness that Karen was here from South Carolina and Debbie was here from Florida! Dennis and Debbie took turns getting me to doctors appointments and picking up prescriptions. As usual, Barb was my sounding board and adviser regarding my symptoms and diagnosis. And Dennis had to just hold down the fort in general. So many people took turns keeping Abby busy so that she didnt miss out on summer fun. Not sure what we would have done without Barb & Dan, Karen & Mike, Jimmy & Lauren, and Debbie. At one point Abby did not sleep at home for about two and half weeks straight! But she did get to do lots of fun stuff with her cousins! Thanks to my parents for letting Abby and I come up north and me just totally rest and recuperate. Im certain that it really helped. Thanks to my fellow NOFCA members for picking up the slack on so many things that I said I would take care of! Im so glad I was able to make it to the 5K. Thanks to Deana for listening to my complaining about how awful I was feeling and for all your offers to help out any way that you could. Just listening was extremely helpful!! Thanks to Marlene for doing the busy bags for church for a few weeks. So many little commitments that I dont even think about but need to be done each week and that was one that I just couldnt let go. So many people checked on me, sent me emails and messages and prayers and each and every gesture is truly appreciated. I know that Im probably leaving someone out here so please forgive me if I did. Jeanne brought me a beautiful plant and a dinner that Dennis really enjoyed. So many friends and family members offered to take Abby and or drop off meals, etc. Even though we didnt take you all up on all of the kind offers we knew we could if we needed to and that really means a lot. And thanks to our sweet Abby for going with the flow and not complaining (too much!) about where she had to go or what she had to do. So, look out August, we plan to live it up!
