I cant believe its been a year youve been gone. Not a day goes by that I dont think about you. I miss you so much. I always loved to call you when something crazy would happen in a show, or my kids would say something funny, or if I was down I knew you would make me laugh. I can pinpoint the day in my life that set me on the path to this life I love, it was the day I met Cowboy Mike Keever. I was a young clown wanna be and you accepted me like family and took me on as your biggest project. You shared your love of laughter and taught me the art of clowning. You got me into Clown College, got me a spot on the Red Show, and worked with me in all types of other gigs and circuses. I wouldnt be the performer I am now, theres a good chance I wouldnt be a performer at all if it werent for you. I probably wouldnt have met my amazing wife since I met her in a show. Without her I wouldnt have the children I now live for, whose middle names are Michael and Lynn. I love my life, and without meeting you at that Christmas fund raising event all those years ago it wouldnt be happening like this. I regret not spending more time with you those last few years. I regret not being at your side as you fought illness after illness. Im glad we chatted often. I cherish all the time I did get with you. The times in my life Ive laughed the hardest was with you. My favorite life moments are the ones with my wife, kids, and you. There will never be another like Cowboy Mike. You are my hero, my teacher, mentor, but above all my best friend. I thank you for everything, I miss you so much it hurts, and I love you Mike. (My little girl Kinley Lynn will be 1 year old in 7 days, she loves her Cowboy Mike picture. Shes connected to it and knows how special you are.)
