I cant believe that its already Monday and only a few days before Christmas. No, I still dont have my tree or decorations up -- have to find some time for that. A nice day today -- clear, sunny, warm, just nice! Funny, when you post something you think is a nice sentiment, there is always someone who can connect it to something ugly -- dont know why, but there it is. Me, I prefer to enjoy sentiments that promote the good in life. Will there be some creep out there who twists things? Sure, but thats their problem, not mine. Do I shut my eyes and pretend the world is all gooey and lovey? No. It isnt. However, I can ensure that my little corner of the world is a happy one. Its a choice -- I choose happy over miserable, joy over despair, a pleasant outlook over waiting for the next shoe to drop. If it does, so what. Life does go on and things might change ... nothing you can do about it other than greeting each day with a happy face, anticipation for all the wonderful things that drop into our lives unexpectedly. Today, like every day, is a good day to be grateful. Grateful for being able to play on this planet another day, grateful for waking up, grateful for happy dogs, grateful for a beautiful sunny Southern California day! Am loving finally discovering the books written by Brett Battles -- great stories that keep you entertained for many hours! Oh yes, extremely grateful for my friend, Arika, arriving yesterday and being cheerful despite the fact that her potential adoptee stood her up! She drove 45 minutes each way to be here on a Sunday and those ignoramuses chose to blow off the appointment. Humbug to them -- she came bearing presents. So sweet, so appreciated, such a lovely human being. She truly lights up the world around her! Love you, Arika, and love all that you do for homeless high desert dogs! So -- Im truly grateful for the lovely human beings which surround me. I am truly blessed, not just during the Christmas season, but every day of the year! I am grateful, thankful and very, very appreciative for each and every one of you. You make my life happy, easy and joyful! I thank you!
