I cant believe that my time at SLIS is almost over at USC. I will be considered an information professional/librarian in 8 days. It was fun getting this degree back home in SC. Having a Biology degree, a teaching degree, a Masters in Public Administration, and now an MLIS has proved to myself that I can achieve things that interest me. I seem to have a lot of different interests. I do wish James Broughton could see his sons while Judy Broughton who is still with us is gracefully dealing with Alzheimers looks on with a generous smile. Next Saturday this time another degree will be obtained, the mortar board tucked away, and I will embark on a new journey of work (right after I open that bottle of Absolute). I wonder what work would be like at the Library of Congress or Google or even the CIA is something that could interest me? I will say that the State Library currently makes me happy and it pays the bills.
