I cant believe that two major stories of black intolerance and Afro-fascism have just been completely ignored by the news. These are the deadlines against foreigners in Zimbabwe to close their shops by 1 January, and Angola declaring Islam an undesirable sect (Ive linked to reports from both previously). Even if these stories are not entirely true, Im very disappointed that the SA media hasnt even made an attempt to contextualize or refute them. I can only assume that these stories are being deliberately censored. I even phoned Cape Talk this morning asking for clarification, and despite a very interested call screener, they apparently havent mentioned it on air.
