I cant believe the school even allowed this corporation to spew their poison in a classroom. Well, actually I can. My sons school recently had hosted what the called a Kids Matter event. It turns out that this event was to promote a not-for-profit government funded organisation. The most interesting thing to note, is that they are partnered with the Australian Psychological Society and Kids Matter as an organisation focuses on Mental Health, Behaviour, Emotional Health and friendships. These services are provided directly to the children. In other words, they take the parent out of the picture (disempowering both the child the and the parent as the most important role model for the child) to indoctrinate them into the belief that all solutions are outside of themselves and their family support systems, and that solutions LIE in organisations, governments and professionals who can solve all your problems in a counselling session, a class on behaviour or a pill. They claim that physical health is just as important as mental health, whilst all the while at the event, they served cordial and sausages on white bread. Oh, the irony. Thankfully, my son does not need an organisation of any kind to know that he matters. Others are not so fortunate as I am aware that some of the kids at his school are on medication such as Catapres & Ritalin for behavioural issues, no doubt diagnosed with the help of organisations such as Kids Matter. kidsmatter.edu.au
