I cant believe this is real life. What a magnetic and beautiful soul. dear friends, the body electric means so much to me and while i was up there I thought about so much. i had my family in the audience, and the women of the world on my mind. i brought with me my memory of Sali Grace, and an image of the Gulabi Gang in India. I thought about Angela Davis, bell hooks, Laverne Cox, Audre Lorde, Nina Simone, Odetta, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and all the other women from our history that inspired me and changed me. this is what I have to give, it is my offering. i was nervous, but i did the best i could and now its for all of you. thank you for the support, it means more than you know.
