I cant complete this day without thanking each of you for the birthday wishes I have been receiving since late last night. I tried to thank you all individually, but I am sure I missed several. I heard from many that I have known practically all of my life, and some new friends that I would have never known had it not been for a number of very special children. I cherish them all for varying reasons. I cherish those that I have known since childhood. Maybe we werent close friends back then, but thru the years, we have all learned to cherish one another. I cherish those that I have recently come to know primarily thru different pediatric cancer patients. You all are very special to me and dear to my heart, especially the children and their parents and siblings, but not excluding the many that I have come to know that support these families. And obviously, I cant overlook family. I am very proud of my family, immediate and extended, on both of my parents sides. No doubt I am closer to some than others, but that does not mean that I dont love each of you. The older we get, the more we begin to realize just how important it is to be surrounded by great people. I am so thankful to have each of you in my life, even though I may not feel that I merit some of the kind words sent my way today. Thank you all. P.S. Got me a new AU hat, a new SOA tee, some night riding glasses, new fingerless gloves, new riding rainsuit, some CHOCOLATE, and more. But more importantly, I had my sweet grandchildren here tonight.
