I cant help but to feel that when a person surrenders their furry family member to a shelter it is like a person sending their child to an orphanage in hopes he gets adopted. Yes, I understand that a dog is an animal but the same moral and ethical code applies. One chooses to take on the responsibility and commitment to care for another life. Such decisions should never be taken lightly. No one is perfect but thats what makes animals so amazing - they still love you. They accept you and appreciate your love and attention. I promise you, share your life energy with your furry family and connect with them in the most primal way and you will see that he/she is no different from you. They just want to be part of the universe and to love and be loved.
