I cant imagine it, everyone.... I keep coming back to this guy for a few reasons, but the primary cause is that he is very perceptive. Homogenization agitates him, and in this diatribe against the New York City Grid Plan, he constructs a very interesting picture of what homogenization is indicative of to him: it attempts to construct a security that is forgetful and therefore lives through again (eternally) those traumas and struggles which have constituted ones identity in the first place. By saying that everyone likes the Grid Plan, youre saying Im going to relive all the mistakes my parents made; Im going to identify and relive all the sorrows my mother ever lived through; I will propagate and create dysfunctional children in the same dysfunctional way I was raised; I will spread neurosis throughout the landscape and do my best to recreate myself and the damages of my life for the next generation. https://youtube/watch?v=9awJCyjt550
