I cant say I will never eat meat again, because I will. I consider transcending duality to be of paramount importance, and I dont like to label myself in any way, especially not as a certain type of eater. As the vast majority of our meat consumption is out of sight, out of mind, which helps us tremendously to ignore the nightmare of factory farms, I can attest to the influential sway of subjective, face-to-face experience. At this point, After having spent weeks living intimately with sheep and goats -- after feeding them, speaking to them by name, feeling compassion for their bodily injuries, helping to pull off their winter coats so as to make them more comfortable, prancing around the yard with them at dusk, or petting them as they rub their heads on my leg seeking affection. . . . . . I can say I will probably never eat sheep or goat meat again. Subjective experience. Face-to-face. Its not quite the same, is it?
