I cant sleep .. mostly concerned of my Son Jared Nylund. His Grandfather, Robert Goldsmith has been very sick for awhile now. I am also thinking of his daughter , Janice Nylund Callahan and his great and supportive wife, Janet Varner. Its is very, very sad to say, Robert ( Jareds Grandfather) has passed away today, ( well yesterday on Fathers Day) and pray that all will be ok. It was a very sad today and I really didnt know how to react to my son Jared as he looked me straight in the eyes. I tried to comfort him with words as I held him like never before and he said to me " Dad .. I do not want to talk about it ".. as I then let him go. He told me, I need to be with my friends on the Golf Course and I will see you for dinner after I am done playing around. We both know that his grampa would have wanted him to be on the golf course with his friends. He then called me when he was done and he asked me if you wanted to have a chipping and putting contest with me. So took off at once and both decided to watch the last five holes of the US Open our home. It was such a great bonding time as we watched this great tournament that we both love so much. He then said to me lets get back to Oakland University to have that contest that we used to have for many years off and on since he was two at our old residence on number 16 , one hundred yards from the the Green on the this long par 5 at Sugar Springs Country Club in Gladwin, MI. That was always our incredible bonding time for hours and hours a day,,, and sometimes every day. What a time that was and I will never forget those incredibly great times of that bonding time together on our Golf Course. That is what did yesterday evening for a couple of hours until the sun was gone and couldnt see anymore. We were all by ourselves and was a beautiful, great time together as he proceeded to pretty much crush me. We then went to Main Street and have a bite to eat as I proceeded to finally crush him in ping pong.. As we were driving the few blocks home , he said to me , I am going to sleep on your large mattress upstairs and if you want, you can to. We both lay there with a few great words and both fell asleep. He is sleeping very peacefully now and I just couldnt sleep, so I decided to get started and post this and get back to sleep for a couple hours so I can talk him to his 2 day tournament in Auburn, Hills at Fieldstone Golf Club, to get to the course by 9:00 for his pre-golf routine. His Tee time is at 10:30 and I am looking forward to be outside and two watch him play. His Coach, pro golfer and instructor, Bob Makoski will most likely be there for his support in both his Life Situations and his Golf. I am looking forward to seeing him to. NOTE : (1 of 2 posts that will share from this writing and finish tomorrow ) I will continue tomorrow and go rest and be with my son and try to get some sleep. I know not many people will read this post, but I do this for peace of mind and I do use the My timeline as if it was a diary, which I will be able to go back in history to see all the great times we had as "Father and Son". Please feel free to read this but you may get bored at times and some words may be messed up a little.. I am an open person and I do have nothing to hide. I have a lot to say of this Great Man, Robert Goldsmith, his beautiful wife, (a close friend of mine)... Janet Varner and of course his mother, Janice Goldsmith.If their is one thing that anybody could do for me , is to have a quick prayer for them.
