I cant stop thinking about the experience I had 25+ years back, while working at a store in a middle-class white suburb, positioned in a spot where police officers pulling motorists over was a constant sight. The officers were always white, the offenders were always black males. I was standing in one place long enough and so I saw it, I understood then it was really real . . . now I am trying to come up with something to say about Ferguson. Im failing.
