I cant tell you how many amazing acts of kindness our family has encountered over the past month and a half since Gradys accident…our local police relief association, church, friends, family, etc. This past Saturday our family was attending a homecoming game for our oldest sons varsity football team in Gilford. They were playing the Newport Tigers. Newport is an average size NH town about an hour and 20 min drive west of Gilford. We didnt know a single person on the other team (player, parent, coach or fan). Right around half time I was approached by a woman from the other team. She handed me this nice homemade card that was signed by the entire Newport Youth Football - Newport NH Association (cheerleaders, players, coaches, parents and fans). It also contained a generous gift. On behalf of our entire family, I would like to thank the entire Newport football program for their kindness and generosity. In a day and age when so much negative is focussed on in our local and national media, I wanted to point out that Im proud to be from NH, where a random community/organization from over an hour away would reach out to a family they have never previously or personally meant. There was no newspaper photographer called to take a picture. Just a parent from the opposing team wanting to tell our family that their organization was praying for our son. Thank you for your genuine kindness and selflessness. We are blessed to live where we do. #LoveNH #LiveFreeorDie
