I cant tell you how many times I hear from people that they dont drink water, just sodas, teas, beer... :( Your body needs water! Below is a formula to calculate how much water your body needs at rest, do this simple math for daily water consumption. This calculation is for a body at REST. Rest means, working at an office desk, small tasks around the house, reading, writing, watching television and other small tasks, that dont require much effort. This is what your bare minimum water requirement would be to function in a day. More if you are working out, or doing harder physical tasks.. The basic equation for determining this is to divide your body weight in half. So, if you weigh 200 pounds, you would need 100 ounces of water per day if youre not doing anything strenuous. If youre working out, doing harder physical tasks or activities, youre going to need to add to those 100 ounces. If you have a hard time remembering to drink the water, do what I do, measure out the amount of water first thing in the morning and set it on the counter and make sure it is all gone by the end of the day.
