I checked in on Waldo last night and the initial report was great. Their elderly basset hound Earl was being “wild” and playful for the first time in years and he and Waldo were playing in the house to the delight of his owners. The dogs are really bonding, she thought they would probably share Waldo’s bed in the bedroom (I’m waiting for a report for that.) Waldo got the hang of the doggie door immediately and was running in and out with Earl to check on things and potty. They took both dogs for a walk together, then Waldos new Dad took him out jogging later in the evening. They plan to jog regularly. I know from daily experience that running for us is a trot for them, I told them Waldo would have to work up to longer distances, though he got to run at the dog park every other day or so with us. He has been following them all from room to room even the little girls and wants to know where they all are at all times. They are really nuts over him and I think it is a very good fit. She has promised me pics and daily reports at first. Yay!
