I choose the path that doesnt bankrupt our country or us as a people. Global Warming policies will punish all energy companies, businesses and citizens that will have to buy energy. That increased fuel and energy cost will be passed onto the consumers. Government will expand once again and waste even more taxpayers money in the name of maybe making a sliver of a difference. We make it even more difficult to compete in a world market with all the extra costs and burdensome regulations. China, India, Pakistan and many others emit 100 times the pollutants that we do today. How do you force them to comply? The USA already has strict pollution laws. I understand the theory of Global Warming very well. I agree the earth has been warming and cooling for millions of years before industrialized man arrived too. Even if we could change anything it would be so minimal. I see it as a Y in the road. You either scream GLOBAL WARMING and get government policies that increase taxes and the costs of all goods and services due to higher energy costs. The other direction is the one I am on. Use common sense, weigh the real world outcome of possibilities and see that punishing ourselves will only make us far worse off. I dont know how much more clear I can explain it than that. Our country is on its knees already economically and in debt so deep people cant even grasp a number of $17+ Trillion dollars of money we didnt have, but we spent it anyways. The answer is certainly not more government spending, waste and fraud, which is what all government programs do for the most part. Other than the military and a few vital government functions we dont need most of the federal government. So to me its rather simple. I am looking at the environmentalist activist side of this as an attack on our country on almost every level. Much like taking over 1/6th of our economy with socialized medicine alias ObamaCare. Government is the last entity we should want running anything! They have no reason to be efficient because they can just charge it to the future taxpayers. Everything it touches needs more money to operate and not one government program has operated within its originally stated budget nor has any produced a profit. Government is Not The Solution to our Problem, Government Is The Problem!
