I cling to the clothing you shed before you left this morning, - TopicsExpress

I cling to the clothing you shed before you left this morning, replacing them with the professional shirt and slacks. The scent introducing itself to my longing senses as I fall back into a bed we share. The sun has risen and sunk within what seems like moments, yet the day has drawn its course slowly. Drinking in the warmth that faded so long ago from our sheets I found the courage to blink, fearing that I may forget how you slept. I run fingers over the outline of your place next to mine as I felt exhausted enough to close my eyes. Waking in the middle of a subtle darkness of nightfall the room I memorized became foreign. Where have you gone? Have I been alone this whole time?
