I come from a culture notorious for kvetching. But all Ive inherited thus far are Mazel Tovs, LChaims, and When Is Hanukkah This Years. Today, I finally initiated my ultimate demise into bitter elderly Jewish manhood. I took a late lunch at a favorite late lunch-taking place. Upon inserting the first morsel of the dish I ordered into my mouth, I experienced a sense of palate-discomfort, caused by an excess of sauce. I tried to play the role of warrior-hero, fighting my way through the drenched bitterness, bite after excruciating bite. After a series of consultations with gentiles in the vicinity, I made my way over to the customer-service nook, and eased into a solid little kvetch. The result of my complaint was positive for all posterity! The sauce situation will now be thoroughly investigated, and surely all suffering in the world will now come to an end. Also, I got a free cookie out of it all. When is Hanukkah this year?!
