I come with GREAT news. I am literally speechless. Today, Westview Key Club hosted their annual summer bake sale at Black Mountain VONS. I came into the bake sale with the goal of raising $140, taking into account the amounts weve made previously. I even promised all members helping out at the bake sale lunch if we reached $300, a goal that I personally thought could not happen. But yet again, this club amazes me. With a beaming smile and a soon-to-be empty wallet, I am very pleased to announce that Westview Key Club raised $406.01 (and 10 pesos) at their very first bake sale of the term. Although these words may not be deserving to the amount of appreciation you all deserve, I thank everyone who baked, supported, and donated. Huge thank you to those who stayed late last night baking and those who came out to help run the bake sale (about 15 members). Thank you to Treasurer Luqmaan Bokhary for planning the fundraiser. Thank you to my fellow presidents for stopping by. But most importantly, thank you. Thanks to you we saved 226 mothers and newborns from maternal/neonatal tetanus.
