I commuted up to work at New York this moring and my flights have been cancelled and delayed to the point that I have been waiting at the airport for 12 hours straight...What most people dont realize is that flight attendants dont get paid until the door is closed on an aircraft and the plane parking break is released...So all the time we are waiting in airports on delays, and boarding, on layovers, etc. we are only getting paid our per diem pay for $2 an hour...My flight to Orlando tonight isnt landing till 3am and Im already exhausted...Its def been one of those days...Prayers for my sanity are greatly appreciated!!;)
