I competely understand the underlying thought behind this song. I truly miss the joy of the season. Family get-togethers where all come together. Real Christmas Carols played everywhere. Not having to worry about being correct or offending people. As I get older, it becomes harder to capture that warm felling from celebrating the birth of the Christ-child. Tonight our community band plays its annual concert for the residents of Hillcrest Nursing Home in Round Lake Beach. Hillcrest is an assisted living facility.The residents and care-givers really like hearing the joyful sounds of the season. ( if any of you want to join us, there is usually room for a few extra persons to come hear us play.) Simply tell the front desk you wish to hear the band.
