I complain about people who complain about the postal service and its workers all the time. Heres some more: My sister, Connie Gerhart, has to trudge through this freezing weather, exposing her fingers to possible frost bite. She has to evade unrestrained dogs and sometimes people with mental health issues. (Hopefully none with a gun who wants to suddenly stand their ground.) They cut her off in the postal truck and dont give her right of way, even though the law says were to yield to Postal vehicles like any police or fire vehicle. (Yes, neighbor, theyre allowed to park where it says no parking). My mail carrier was robbed at gun-point while at the rear of his truck during broad day light just this past summer. And theyre supposed to be back at the PO before dark (less for safety, more just to hurry to make the big truck that leaves with outgoing mail), but their work load makes that impossible. My sis couldnt take the stairs or sit in the waiting room when we went to the hospital for our moms x-rays for fear of pain in her joints. Then this Fox News-watching guy she knows, whos never known hard physical labor in his life, has the nerve to say, stamps are going up to almost 50-cents... Guess youll be getting a raise.
