I completed a Bible study recently and afterwards a "Reverend" - TopicsExpress

I completed a Bible study recently and afterwards a "Reverend" approached to "put me in my place". His argument had nothing to do with the accuracy of my teaching but was more about my age. He eventually stated that I was too young to be taken seriously as a Pastor and also commented that I could mislead followers by using examples from BOTH the Old and New Testaments. Thats when I began to speak to him in my VINTAGE voice... I told him that the word of God is not divided-because the power of God is not divided. In the OLD TESTAMENT mankind is reaching up for God, in the NEW TESTAMENT God is reaching down for Mankind and meeting in the middle is when we study the word for ourselves. Yet we must come to understand that AGE can not be taken into consideration when it concerns an individuals "understanding". I know 5 year olds with understanding above 50 year olds. We all will come to understanding in our own time and the Bible is but a book unveiling evidence of how God is mighty enough to use whomever he chooses to accomplish what HE wants. After this he agreed and asked for examples from the scripture, I gave him 2, one from the OLD TESTAMENT and one from the NEW TESTAMENT. MEMO: I am NOT perfect... but my faith is. God Bless -Angel L
