I completely agree with below assessment. Whatever hard, Ukraine must fight on and not allow Russia to create another frozen conflict zone. NATO must make decision to sell to Ukraine modern anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles and more. Die Presse - Austria Moscow wants to freeze the conflict Moscows attempt to force Kiev to negotiate a peace agreement directly with the separatists is a tried and tested strategy by Russia, the liberal-conservative daily Die Presse comments: The Russian leadership knows from experience that its far more profitable to pass on the task of managing the conflict to others. It wants Ukraine to negotiate with the new Russians in Donetsk itself while the Russian president and foreign minister exert pressure from a safe distance. This model was tested in Transnistria. Here, the international community under the OSCEs leadership has been trying for over 20 years to find a solution to the frozen conflict. Georgia is also having to deal with proxy regimes that wouldnt be there in the first place without Moscows support in the conflict with its secessionist regions Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Whether theres a permanent ceasefire or just a ceasefire, today or in a few weeks time, Moscow wants to create another frozen conflict to suit its own interests.
