I concur with the general spirit of this post. I prefer certain translations more for aesthetic reasons. The NRSV captures the feel of koine greek better in my opinion plus it has all of the dueterocononical texts and extensive foot noting. For hebrew I prefer the Jerusalem Bible, but at the end of day all Bibles say the same thing.
