I consider myself a wordsmith. I consider myself witty and quick on the draw where such matters are concerned. I am very rarely truly struck speechless. Yet, here I am. My mother and I have not always had the best of relationships. Ive said countless unkind things. Ive taken her for granted. Ive been cruel. Ive been a kid. Mom, you mean the world to me. I want you to know that, and I want everyone else to know that. Im not one for overt or public displays of emotion, but Im breaking that rule now.
