I continue to receive messages asking me why I went on 20/20 and made other drivers look like crap. So heres a response and official statement from me about the issue. I dont understand how some drivers think I hurt the image of truckers..... About 10 million people saw me (a trucker) tell my company that I didnt want to hurt anybody on the road and that I was shutting down..... In fact, the only negative response I received from the show was from other drivers..... I NEVER received any negativity, but in fact only support from the non CDL holding public and various trucking agencies (FMCSA, ATA, OOIDA,ect) so I dont really understand it when other internet truck drivers claim I made the industry look like crap. I just chalk it up to pure jealousy and envy. Plus, its those drivers who like to run illegal is who you should be questioning, an episode of 20/20 isnt how new laws are pushed on us.... When the outlaw guys wreck and kill people, it goes into a database, and when the numbers show that theres a problem in a certain area (hence the push for Elogs and 30 minute breaks) thats when a new bill is purposed to become law. Dont buy into the internet know it alls and super truckers, to be quite honest, they know the very least.
