I continue to wonder about the real size of the hands of Yuja Wang - TopicsExpress

I continue to wonder about the real size of the hands of Yuja Wang ... In this fantastic video, we see exceptionally well !!! Now, if youll follow me, look at the beginning of the video, to say the minute (the second rather) 0:16 ... What do you see? ... There are many left hand arpeggio agreements of tenth (that is for exemple from C to E) and the hand of Yuja seems to really have to arpeggiate them ....... I can make the same observation in the video of Tea for Two (second below) ... So I wonder if she really takesonly the tenth !!??? In any case I dont think she can take from C to F ............ This is not a trivial question ... let me explain: Liszt and rachmanonov took from C to G ... that means that if these two composers posed first finger on the note C, they came to catch the G of the next octave !!!!!!! Under these conditions they have written works to the extent of their huge hands ............ If the hand Yuja Wang is as I assumed above (that is she can ponly take from C to E), this is almost uncredible how Yuja gets to play Rachmaninov with such ease !!!!!!!!!!!! I recall for memory Rachmaninov dedicated his third concerto to Joseph Hofmann, one of the greatest virtuoso of his time, and Joseph Hofmann never played it because his hands were too small and he was upset that Rachmaninov could dedicate him an unplayable work !!! ............ https://youtube/watch?v=fzHrib3_he0 https://youtube/watch?v=ZxU0zW23-wY
