I copied and pasted these updates: Here is the latest for our little Emma. We are praising God for what he does each day. The post below was last night from Emmas Aunt Sheila but I talked to Emmas mom this morning and she said Emma handled PT well this morning and they did an evaluation using yes and no questions with Emmas responses coming from her eyes. Lisa said she cried like a baby when she realized that her baby girl was in there. I cant explain to you the feeling of looking at your baby girl and not knowing if she understands your commands or remembers the people that love her tremendously.....but by being with Emmas mom and dad during this journey, I can tell you that it takes tremendous strength and faith and I hope that I never have to feel the struggles that they have felt!! Continue to pray that Emma will be a huge testament to Gods healing power. Thank you all so much for being here for Emma and her family each and every day. They are forever grateful for each of you!!! ~~G~~ Here is the caring bridge post from last night: (Thanks Sheila):::: I can hardly wait to make the nightly post; because, as I ended last night I said I looked forward to writing to you all tonight all the prayers that God would answer and I am here to testify that He did not disappoint!! As always our Mighty God, the Healer, our Savior, Redeemer and Friend has blessed our princess Emma today and answered so many prayers. Emma began her rehab this morning. David said they had a great morning starting with rehab in the gym. Afterwards they took a stroll through the lobby and looked at the beautiful fish in the aquarium there. They had more rehab in the afternoon and David said she handled it pretty well. Her heart rate went up some, but when it did they just slowed down a bit and it went back to normal. She swallowed first thing when they gave her the swallow test and everyone was thrilled about that. She also sucked on a popsicle and was able to swallow that too. These were big strides for our princess today!! We are praising God for all these miracles in her life today. This evening they had hoped she could go with them to the cafeteria and sit with them during dinner, but she was very tired and experienced some small storming so they let her rest and brought dinner into her room to eat while she slept. Tomorrow is going to be another big day as they have plans to introduce more activities in rehab. Please start praying now that Emma will be able to master the things they put before her. Pray that her heart rate will be able to regulate itself as she is introduced to more and more activity. Many people have asked how David and Lisa are able to get through this event in their lives and the things they have to encounter day after day. Without my asking, David gave me that answer this evening when I asked him for the verse he would like to share for tonight. He immediately gave me: PSALM 46:10 BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. This is very relevant to the times we are going through lately he said. They spend lots of time being still and lots of time with God in His Word and prayer. It is the only way they are able to get through each day. God is sufficient. When we are our weakest, He is the strongest. When we cant. He can!! Being still before Him and recognizing that brings peace to an otherwise turbulent time. On behalf of David and Lisa and all of our family I want to thank you all for your prayers. We are aware that there are people praying that we dont even know. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you and may God richly bless you for thinking of Emma and praying for her and her family!
