I walk ten steps, and it is ten steps further away. What is utopia for? It is for this, for walking It pretty much sums up the fundamental reason why Im voting yes. I dont think that an independent Scotland will magically become a socialist paradise where no-one is poor or hungry or unhappy, but we have an opportunity to fundamentally change the political system and shape it into something better. I think therell be sacrifices and hard work but I honestly think itll be worth it because the system we have now is failing the vast majority of people. We have the chance to build something we cant even imagine right now. In all my years of activism, campaigning and protesting I can honestly say Ive never felt as politically empowered as I do right now. I hope it continues.
