I could go on for a long time about all Im thankful for with regard to my loved ones and friends, but that would make for a very long post. So instead, Ill share one specific group of people that Im feeling very thankful for lately: speech therapists! Just this morning, Sam has tried to say wet and boat--two new words for him. Its not particularly intelligible yet, but the intent is there. And hes made leaps and bounds in both verbal and nonverbal communication since getting his ear tubes and starting speech therapy. Hes following simple directions and communicating simple wants. So thank you, those of you who choose to go into this line of work. You make a difference! And if you know a speech therapist, give them a hug for me today and tell them Im thankful for them. That means you, Scott--give Hannah Noelle Key a hug for us and tell her thanks!
