I could not believe that the King of England himself had come to my humble abode in search of Anne Brandon. That girl certainly does have friends in high places, but that is not what I care about. I love her so very much.....from the depths of my very soul......with everything I am, and I want nothing more than to be her husband one day. To take her as my wife......to live together in holy matrimony and build a family together. That is the truest desire of my heart, and I would be the happiest man in all the world if it ever came to fruition. It does not bode well for me that the King personally found Annie here with me, for I am certain he thinks that something is going on that should not, and he is absolutely right. I was elated when Annie came to me and wanted to stay here. She was completely dejected and despondent when she arrived and I was helping her to get over what her father did all those years ago. It is water under the bridge now, but I can understand where she is coming from, because it was her mother who died. It is truly a sad situation all the way around, but she needs to find a way to come to terms with it and get past it so that she can move on with her life.
