I could really use some help with this... Most people dont know that cashews are related to poison oak, poison ivy and sumac, and that the exposure to the toxin urushiol in 90% of the modern cashew industry is horrific. Live Forest Farms has resolved that, and provides many other benefits in this new sustainable model. Wont you please spread the word on this campaign, and consider buying a small loan for $50? Well pay you back! Thank you for supporting food justice! Sabrina Community Sourced Capital Campaign: Live Forest Farms is looking to its community to help out in funding a $20k loan as part of the capital to order the next shipment, and fully develop and distribute several new products, including cacao coated ethically sourced cashews, hand-harvested Balinese sea salt and candied rosella (wild hibiscus). Community Sourced Capital (CSC) is a new company that provides loans to small businesses using capital sourced directly from people in their community. I’m pretty excited to be the first Portland-based business that CSC has engaged, and I would like to show them that our community supports great food that serves a great cause! Anyone can take part in funding our loan by purchasing a Square, a $50 unit of the larger loan intended for Live Forest Farms. Squares are really simple loans and they act like this: $50 loaned and $50 repaid. It’s not a donation. It’s not an investment. It’s a right-sized mechanism for moving money to a business in your community while still getting paid back. Once you’ve purchased a square, you join a beautiful community of other community funders. CSC will keep you up-to-date about the loan what’s happening at Live Forest Farms.
