I could take a square of leather, punch a few holes in it, tie it - TopicsExpress

I could take a square of leather, punch a few holes in it, tie it up with elastic cord and call it a notebook, but thats not Leatherworking. Leatherworking is a craft and it is even a trade. It is a skill learned from generations of fine artisans. I am very mindful of these things every time I pick up a mallet, chisel or punch to produce my work. I like to feel that I am in some way continuing a tradition, as I evolve and learn the fine art of quality traditional leatherwork. Work that looks rough and rushed is generally a reflection of its creator. Work that is beautiful, practical and made from a genuine love of the craft is immediately evident when holding a quality piece of work. I like to feel that I am the latter, infusing all that I love into each piece I produce, knowing that it in turn will be loved, appreciated and enjoyed for many years.
