I could use a little advice on this one... Ive looked at it for so long that I can only see it in pieces. How does it look as a whole? My reference photo had the steam set against a blue sky. When I turn it to black and white the steam blends in to the wood. Im experimenting with background gradients in order to give definition to the steam. I still have some fine tuning to do but how does it work as a whole? Thank you for your advice. :) And thanks to Matthew Malkiewicz for permission to use his photo. (also, the horizontal lines in the sky are due to the milling/cutting/planing process of the wood.)
