I could write up something very similar to what Sarah McBride wrote to describe how Im impressed with, moved by and excited about this show on Amazon, but why re-invent the wheel when she said basically what I would say, but with a lot more eloquence? Ill be binge watching the show this weekend. I wont lie.... There were tears while I watched the trailer. Are you saying you are going to start dressing up like a lady all the time? No, no, honey. All my life... my whole life Ive been dressing up like a man. This is me. I cant stop watching this trailer. I was skeptical about the show when I first heard about it, particularly because I was only familiar Jeffrey Tambor through Arrested Development and he is a non-trans man playing a trans woman. But this has to be one of the most compelling and beautiful portrayals of a trans character that Ive ever seen. Its subtle, scared, compassionate, loving, and, oh, so real. The show is about much more than Moiras transition; all of the characters are transforming and its clear from the start that Moira has her life together more than the rest of people in her family.
