I couldnt be more excited about the first ever Knitting for - TopicsExpress

I couldnt be more excited about the first ever Knitting for Nicholas night! We had 11 women making hats for special babies! We had some speed knitters who easily completed a couple of hats in the time we had together. And Im very impressed with our novice knitters who are successfully knitting in the round! I even learned a few new techniques including a new way to cast on (Im going to practice that one), knitting with a miracle loop (whereve you been all my life), and pick versus throw (sounds like a football term to this Nebraska girl!). A million thanks to all the women who participated including Jennifer who donated the snacks, Heather who already had hats completed, and Thrivent Financial for sponsoring our Action Team. We made new friends and I couldnt be more appreciative to the ladies who made the road trip from Coon Rapids and Minnetonka! Also, a big big big special thank you to all the amazing employees at DKA (not Diabetic Ketoacidosis) and especially Aimee for helping get this organized.
